Calm My Soul

Calm My Soul is a large impressive original acrylic painting on canvas measuring 60 cm x 90cm. It shows one of the Skellig Islands (Skellig Beag) painted from the other island - Skellig Michael -with the Beara Peninsula in the background and a host of white flowers in the foreground. I have always been fascinated by the Skellig islands - I got to visit Skellig Michael myself for the first time in 2001 and again in 2014 and it has left a mark on my soul. After my bereavement I looked to the Skelligs and the Wild Atlantic Way to calm my own soul. I have so many photos of the Skelligs from different locations in Kerry that inspire so many of my paintings. The light of the sky reflected on the ocean around the islands make this painting very special. 

This 60cm x  90cm Acrylic painting is on canvas  and comes framed in an off-white wooden frame. The frame really sets off the painting and makes it an amazing original piece for any one who appreciates Kerry an the Wild Atlantic Way.
